A couple and their college and high school age sons work diligently to create a kitchen unique to their tastes and the hub of family activity. The royal blue paint was inspired by the “sapphire blue” flecks of stone in their unique slab of granite. Cobalt blue pendants selected from “C” Lighting coordinate as well. The couples favorite detail was the stack stone cook top surround and backsplash inlaid with metal tiles.

JOHNSON FERRY RESIDENCE

This couple downsized and moved a home full of furniture and art into a patio home to be closer to their work. Hickory Chair upholstered chairs, ottoman and sofa are accented with an Asian print fabric on the pillows and a Dresden blue animal print on the draperies all from Travis.

GARDEN HILLS RESIDENCE

MYERS PARK RESIDENCE

This stately residence in Myers Park needed personality added in their foyer to match the detail throughout the house. Needlepoint carpet following the contours of the stairs, a hand painted “strie” thatched pattern in subtle tones on the walls and heavy blanket lined damask draperies flank the front door.

JOHNSON ESTATES RESIDENCE

Another Mark Arnold Architecture collaboration, this Morningside, Johnson Estates, home needed to expand to accommodate a Master Suite on the main floor. In the process Mark was able to squeeze a small but sufficient powder room into the plan. Tone on tone paisley wall paper, a reproduction chest to hold a glazed blue porcelain vessel sink and a vintage pendant from The Big Chandelier flow seamlessly together to create a notable room. The master suite, with its custom cabinetry, marble surfaces in the bath, alabaster custom sconces and hues of greens and tans, have become the homeowner’s favorite retreat at the end of a busy day.

SANDY SPRINGS RESIDENCE

After working with this homeowner in former residences this family has settled into their “forever” home. The addition of painted chocolate brown cabinetry in the kitchen, striped draperies and coral colored bamboo paper on the walls in the dining room and other items such as mantle accessories and inspiring quotes on the wall in their game room make bold statements about this family’s personalities and tastes.

VIRGINIA HIGHLANDS RESIDENCE

A major storm swept through the tree lined neighborhood of Virginia Highlands and destroyed their home. Fortunately, the family was safe but they had to move out while another one was being built. Recovering from all the decisions necessary in building a house the couple approached CCW Interiors to add personality to their home. A collection of black and cream botanicals flanking their widescreen hang above a console. On an adjacent wall a floor length mirror anchors built in’s and a pair of transitional chairs.

DEERING PARK RESIDENCE

This resident, whom had lived in this house for years, had just returned from a 2 year stint in the Peace Corps in Africa. She had moved her personal belonging out while in Africa and rented her home. Prior to leaving the kitchen was older and needed some attention but upon returning, after being rented it became apparent that there was no time like the present to get a new kitchen. Seeing the poverty in Africa prompted her to maintain a strict budget while updating her kitchen. The pumpkin colored walls, the specialty handles, the sand colored Kohler sink and African art were unique touches that give testimony to the homeowners personality and values.

BROOKHAVEN RESIDENCE

This couple relocated their business to Atlanta from Miami and brought with them their broad mix of antiques and modern pieces mingled with interesting lighting fixtures and art. Two layers of sheers in dramatic colors of red and brown drape from brushed gold oversized hardware and adorn their Dining Room. A traditional golden yellow damask fabric with boullion fringe is the anchor fabric for the couples Master Bedroom spreads, bolster pillows and box balloon shades complete the room.

MORNINGSIDE RESIDENCE

As you enter this circa 1920′s Morningside traditional Tudor, expectations are quickly shifted as you notice the imitation “Chihuly” blown glass light fixture. It was the inspiration for the colors of fire engine red, crisp white, chocolate brown and tones of grays. The cloth lantern hanging over the square dining table surrounded by white leather chairs, a red “circles” rug and dark chocolate walls make you feel you are dining in a hip Atlanta restaurant. This contemporary flair accurately reflects the personalities of the family living here. .
